If you look at your Navigation Map you will see there is now a green tile for Nav. It is green to represent the fact that it is a Component Screen and not a regular screen, which is blue. You can see that the Component Screen has blue arrows, meaning that you can get to any of the Screens from the Component Screen but notice that only one screen, the Homepage Screen, has a green line coming from the Component Screen. This is because all the other Screens don t have the Nav Component Screen on them. We need to change this now: Hold your mouse cursor over the Nav Component Screen until its drawer slides out and place ther cursor over the third icon from the left (shown in Figure 16-18). The problem with this approach is that the client is coupled to the persistence and internals of the business logic layer. It quickly becomes a nightmare to manage the security for so many session beans. Also, some of the real business logic gets scattered in multiple places in the code. A better option is to create a session fa ade like the PlaceBidBean EJB shown here, which uses these operations and exposes PlaceBidBean to the client:

The Email module (http://drupal.org/project/email) provides a field type for collecting and storing e-mail addresses. It includes many features, such as validation of e-mails and encryption of e-mail addresses, and integrates with both views and rules modules. Furthermore, you can change the display settings of the field so that instead of displaying the e-mail address, it displays a contact form to send email to the e-mail address.

There are several merits to the Session Fa ade pattern. First, it centralizes the real business logic in a single place instead of duplicating it many times. Second, with this pattern the clients don t have to know the internal design of the system. Third, it helps to manage transactions and security centrally instead of managing it for multiple session beans. A final advantage is that it makes the client code much simpler. Take a look at how much the client knowledge is reduced using this approach:
